Evie Nicolaou holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language & Literature (Distinction) from the University of Cyprus as well as a Master’s degree in TESOL- Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (Distinction) from the University of Leeds in England. Apart from her two degrees, she has attended a plethora of seminars and workshops ensuring that she is always up-to-date with current teaching trends.

Upon the completion of her studies, she returned to Cyprus and worked in one of the biggest private institutes in Limassol for seven years as a teacher of all levels and a coordinator. She also worked in the State Institutes of Further Education for 3 years preparing students to take the CAMBRIDGE IGCSE exam and earning amazing reviews by her supervisors in Lanitio, Ayios Spyridonas and Ayios Ioannis High Schools. She was also an Instructor of English at Cyprus College from 2011 to 2018, specialising in Adult Education and specifically teaching Intermediate English, Business English, Writing for Expository Purposes and Business Communication.

Since she has always been known for her leadership skills and passion for organisation and innovation, she decided to open up LITERACENTER, her own private institute in 2015. She teaches all ages and language levels but specialises in Lifelong Learning courses aimed for adults and business professionals.

She is a strong advocate of communicative methods and task-based learning and always aims at designing creative lessons that will engage learners and help them acquire the language in a natural way. She has acquired advanced computer-literacy skills therefore, she uses technology as a significant tool in producing fun, effective and memorable lessons either face-to-face or online.

In her free time, Evie enjoys reading motivational books about personal and professional development as she constantly strives to grow as a person and a professional. She also loves dancing and travelling around the world with her friends and family.


Semeli holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Brighton in England as well as a Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults).

Her academic interests primarily lie in the field of second language acquisition and in teaching English as a foreign language. As a result, she based her final year dissertation on the importance of learning style awareness in foreign language teaching and learning.

Upon the completion of her studies, she worked as an English teacher at a summer school in the UK, teaching students of different ages and culturally diverse backgrounds. She then moved back to Cyprus and since then, she has been teaching English to both children and adults at various levels.

In her teaching, Semeli strives to build an excellent rapport with her students and to meet their individual learning needs and interests. Her strong passion for teaching stems from her endless passion for learning. Teaching and learning are inseparable experiences and for this reason she finds that educators are not only leaders, mentors and learning facilitators, but also scholars, researchers, and ultimately lifelong learners themselves. This is something that truly inspires her to constantly grow as a teacher.

Apart from her love for languages and teaching, Semeli has a great interest in music as well. She is a member of the Limassol municipal philharmonic band and of the vocal ensemble ‘Cantus Novus Femina’. She also enjoys travelling and exploring different cultures.


Ero holds a Bachelor’s degree in English language and Linguistics (Distinction) and a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and Teaching English to Speakers of Other languages (TESOL). She obtained both degrees from Lancaster University in England.

Becoming an English teacher was something she wanted ever since she attended her first English lesson, when she found the sounds and rhythm of English language particularly fascinating. She became passionate about English and decided to pursue the profession of English teacher to inspire learners and support their acquisition of her favourite language.

Her goal is to create a learner-centred classroom where there are various opportunities for meaningful communication, which makes learning both exciting and effective!

Her hobbies include photography, reading prose and anything artistic, from sketching to making mosaics.
